On a whim, I bought the Twilight Turtle for her. There are plenty of stars filling her room, and she loves that they turn themselves off after she's fallen asleep. My only surprise - and small disappointment - was the size of the stars. I expected half-inch to inch wide points of light, like the stickers on my daughter's ceiling. These are closer to three inch, large, definite five-point star shapes. I was disappointed, at first, but then realized Twilight Turtle is billed as a night-light, so the larger size stars make sense. I would definitely recommend this toy to others. Our 23 month-old really likes it!   February 6, 2010 Landon Heeres (WV - USA) We've had this light for about 1 month. The turtle provides perfect ambient light for our son to fall asleep. The features I like are: -3 color options -LED bulbs (so you know they'll last a long time) -Battery operation so the child can have it in bed -Auto-off feature (I think it's 45 minutes) The only thing I don't like so far is that the plastic shell seems fragile, and I worry that it could easily be broken if your child rolled on it or threw it from the crib to the floor (which has happened once, and surprisingly it didn't break). Overall, though, this has been a wonderful help in getting our son to sleep. He loves it! Bullseye! Best gift ever!   December 29, 2009 K. Atwood (Spokane WA) I researched similar toys/products for hours before finally deciding to order this one for my 3 year old nephew for Christmas. I almost went for the $100-150.00 range thinking that a true "scientific" accurate product was better than a lower cost "kiddie" item - Boy was I wrong! My nephew is crazy for this and so are his parents - the stars are actually star-shaped and big/bright enough to really make an impact. He loves being able to change the colors and have some control at bedtime - and when storytime is over he knows that if he's "not tired" he can stay awake and look at the stars for as long as he wants (the 45 minute timer is perfect - he hasn't been able to last more than 20 minutes so far). He got sooooo many presents for Christmas - who knows which ones will last and which ones will just sit on the shelf forgotten - I know for sure that he will use this one every night. His little brother just turned 2 the day after Christmas and his mom is going to order a turtle for him so when he moves from the crib to his "big boy" bed in a couple of months he will have the same bedtime routine as his big brother. My daughter LOVES IT!   November 17, 2009 Christina (Florida) My little girl sleeps with this turtle every night! She loves it. We turn it on, sing "Twinkle, Twinkle little star" & say goodnight. She falls asleep every night looking at the stars! The best part for her is that she can decide what color the stars are going to be... orange, blue or green. The best part for us is that it turns off after 45 minutes. We would recommend this turtle to anyone! Fabulous!   October 17, 2009 Lynley (Baltimore) A friend raved about this, and decided to buy another one for her coming baby, since she and her hubby had been using it in their room and had gotten attached to it! I decided to get it, and was blown away by how it completely transformed the nursury into something beautiful and magical! It has a lovely soft glow, and is incredibly soothing, so much so that my husband came in, laid down on the futon, and fell dead asleep within minutes! Apparently it works:) The baby isn't here yet so I can't weigh in on how it will be for him, but we love it and hopefully he will too. The constellations are a little hard to pick out, as the stars are all the same size, but the star guide it comes with helps a lot. I agree with other reviewers who have pointed out the amber color is too dim to be effective, but the green is nice and the blue is beautiful.
