They have gold flecks all over them, which is not what we expected and they clash with the brushed silver. Put over a light, the gold disappears and the beautiful blue pictured shines. But off, ugly. Looks like a bowling ball finish. I wish the description had mentioned the gold flecks, because we wouldn't have wasted our time and money ordering them and shipping them expedited for our remodel job. One other caveat about these lights: the silver mesh around the cord was badly frayed on one shipped to us, perhaps just from being packed into the box, so I wonder about the safety and how well it will hold up over time, but I can't speak to that directly.
